"Onko Chishin is a documentary that gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the art of Japanese tattooing.

Onko Chishin follows renowned Dutch tattoo artist Rob Admiraal on his trip to Japan. Admiraal travels to Osaka to have his back piece finished and to visit other leading Japanese tattooists. Along the way, the viewer gets an impression of the Japanese art of tattooing, the Western influence on traditional tattoo styles and the controversy surrounding tattoos because of their assumed association to the Japanese mafia."
