The History of Typography || Animated Short
"Canadian designer and animator Ben Barrett-Forrest has created a stop-motion animation charting the history of typography,
from its invention in the mid-15th century by German goldsmith Johannes
Gutenberg through to the current day, where anyone can create and share
their own typeface. According to Barrett-Forrest, the 5-minute video
took 140 hours of work and almost two and a half thousand photographs to
create, pulling information from publications like Thinking in Type by
Ellen Lupton and Just My Type by Simon Garfield. Watch it below."
