Who's Who on a Movie Crew
A movie crew is a group of people hired by a production company for the
purpose of producing a film or motion picture. These crew members all
have titles. Like dolly grip, best boy, greensman, gaffer and unit
manager. But what exactly do they do?
A short film by director Jesse Heath has
set out to elaborate upon the link between adidas Originals and global
youth culture. Through True Originals, Heath communicates the link
between the idea of unique style, being an outsider and remaining unique
to one’s self as a young person.
“adidas’ current campaign is called ‘Future’ and I wanted to
incorporate this in the video,” explains Heath. “Having a super diverse
cast, each with a distinct style, against a backdrop that is
unmistakably LA but accompanied by a British narrator was my way of
blurring culture and geography. Creating True Originals was really
important to me as I’ve always felt like an outsider. This feeling was
especially strong as a teenager — the crew in the video really is the
crew I wish I had growing up. I personally spent my time drifting
between several groups of friends never feeling fully integrated. adidas
are one of the most progressive clothing brands in the world right now
and their focus on individuality with adidas Originals is what led me to
make this spec for them.”
Featuring rising star and friend of the director, Charley
Palmer-Rothwell, the film was shot by Heath and Alex Duckworth, scored
by Adolescent / Alex Parish and styled by Nikki Grattan. Check it out below and visit Jesse’s Vimeo here.

has created a stunning 4K time-lapse tour of Paris. The short video
takes us around some of the city's most famous spots, including the
Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, and the Catacombs.
"I spent two weeks in Paris this summer exploring the city and capturing
many of the touristy things to do," says Fairbank. "It was my first
time there so visiting the places in the video were very cool. Luckily
my girlfriend is a Paris expert so that made getting around pretty easy.
I shot all time and hyper-lapses on a Sony A7s with three lenses (Canon
16-35mm f/2.8, Canon 24-105mm f/4, and Tamron 150-600mm f/5-6.3). All
shots were done either handheld or on a tripod."

Skiers Turn Boston Streets Into Playground || Short Film
Boston is one of the most repressively freezing places in the world
throughout the winter months, but if you don’t mind frostbitten
temperatures and consider yourself pretty nifty on a set of skis, it’s
not so bad as the entire city transforms into a giant ski slope.
Having recently endured 68 inches of snowfall, TGRAthletes and film
crews picked up their equipment as Boston residents dug themselves out
of the tundra. The end result is the sight of skiers skiing off of

making said garment, following its journey from cotton bud to finished
piece of clothing and everything in between. Not just a look into the
making of one shirt, the video is also an apt reminder of the complex
machinery and advanced industry that is so integral yet so often hidden
from the consumer market.
