Fireworks Filmed with a Drone

Some spectacular footage of a fireworks display captured with a drone has been uploaded to YouTube by Jos Stiglingh. The clip was apparently filmed in West Palm Beach, Florida in May of this year, using a a GoPro Hero 3 silver, mounted to a DJI Phantom 2. It has seen a recent surge of hits due to the Fourth of July celebrations in the U.S, and this article from Forbes which takes a long, hard look at the safety concerns of filming such an event. 

Pipeline Winter 2013

As GoPro continue to take the action sports world by storm, filmmaker Eric Sterman has decided to take things one step further, strapping the camera to his drone and filming a 4-minute surf video. Shot on location at the Banzai Pipeline in Oahu, Hawaii, the video gives us a unique aerial view of the landscape while also showcasing some pretty impressive surfing in what is arguably one of the best surfing locations in the world. Watch below.
