Máquina Voadora || The Flying Machine

A Year in the making and filmed all around the beautiful Coast of Portugal, this video is a compilation of Surf and Bodyboard highlights along with a lot of drone experimentation, while trying to get some new action angles from above.
From the shallow slabs of Ericeira to the monster waves of Nazaré, from secret spots in the west coast to the beautiful landscapes of the Southwest, from dream sessions to deadly rescues and lost drones, we can say it was a Year in full, yet this was just the beginning.

Epicly Palestine'd || The Birth of Skateboarding in the West Bank

Despite living in a place where you can't even buy a skateboard and facing the daily challenges of living under military occupation, a group of passionate Palestinian teenagers have managed to create a skate scene reminiscent of the early days of Dogtown. A play on the VICE skate series Epicly Later'd, Epicly Palestine'd is a 26-minute documentary giving us a unique insight into this world, where the Palestinian Z-Boys learn new tricks through YouTube. The History of The Stan Smith by Gary Aspden: Sportswear

There is no doubt that the adidas Stan Smith is one of the most iconic sneakers ever designed, having staked its claim on the sneakerhead consciousness before there were even sneakerheads. But as much as its clean, white silhouette is imprinted into all of our minds, how much do you know about the history behind the Stan Smith? To investigate, SHOWStudio tapped the encyclopedic knowledge of adidas Creative Consultant Gary Aspden on exactly that, who covers everything from the shoe that the Stan Smith evolved from, the first celebrity adopters of the sneaker, the ebb and flow of its popularity over the decades, and why Stan Smith doesn’t have a moustache in his portrait on the sneaker’s tongue. Teahupo'o, Du Ciel || Short Video

This is easily one of the best, if not THE best, surf videos we've ever seen.  Beautifully shot via drone at the coastal spot of Teahupo'o in Tahiti, it's worth every second of your time. Hat tip to Devour for the find.

Ishtar X Tussilago is a short film by Maceo Frost starring downhill longboard rider Ishtar Backlund in the epic mountains of Norway. Combined with a magical soundtrack from Swedish rock band Tussilago, the film is a glimpse into the profound feeling of believing in yourself and living one’s greatest dreams.
