Behind The Scenes Of TIME's Drones Cover || TIME

Drones are a hot-topic right now, so hot in fact that TIME magazine has put 958 of them on its latest cover.

 A fleet of Intel Shooting Star drones were employed for the shoot, replicating the magazine’s iconic masthead and red border by flying in perfect formation above California. 

 The quadcopters were specifically designed by Intel for light shows and, back in 2016, 500 of them set the new Guinness World Record for the “Most Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) airborne simultaneously”.

 Since then, they’ve featured in the Super Bowl live performance by Lady Gaga and the 2018 Winter Olympics opening ceremony, which became the largest drone show in the history of the world with 1,218 of them in use.

 For this specific task, Intel worked closely with Astraeus Aerial Cinema Systems and L.A. Drones to make sure everything was perfect, programming the placement of the vehicles on before sending them into the night sky.

Nike Futebol Apresenta || Vai na Brasileiragem

As we all know, Nike likes to take it’s advertising seriously, and it’s really gone all in for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, unveiling 90-second ad that centres around the Brazilian team.

 It stars some of the biggest names in the sport, as well as hopefully young kids playing in the streets, and even even makes us reminisce about that iconic Nike airport ad from 1998 with a clip filmed in a terminal.

 The ad ends with a little give giving a motivation pep talk to the Brazilian team, which you may want to turn the captions on for.

 From his hometown of Oslo, Magnus traveled to Philadelphia, Spain and Taiwan with fellow teammates, Heitor da Silva and Hermann Stene to film the part.

O'Neill Wave of the Winter || Movie 2018

We know now that Nathan Florence (deservedly) won the O'Neill Wave of the Winter.

 But one wave does not a winter make.

 And as is tradition, Surfline spent the entire North Shore season with multiple lenses pointed firmly at all the action at Pipe, Backdoor and Off-the-Wall, captured the best of the best and then sat down the standouts.
