"Filmmaker Mike Pagan has presented a beautifully shot short film starring skateboarder Steven Swanson on a clear and sunny Los Angeles afternoon. Accompanied by the Lana Del Rey track 'Ride,' the three-and-a-half minute video shows Swanson cruising around the city and effortlessly performing tricks in super-slowmotion. Production was handled by Visual Oddity Films, who specialise in surf and lifestyle footage. Check out the film below!"

The Pixel Painter

"Hal Lasko worked as a typographer for decades in an age when everything was analog and drawn by hand. But after retiring, the 97-year-old switched up his medium and turned digital creating art using only MS Paint. Although legally blind due to a disorder called wet muscular degeneration, being able to zoom in on small sections has allowed him to continue working long after he thought his painting days were through. 'If it takes me two years, I can spend it. I’ve got a lot of patience – that’s what you really need,' says Lasko. In fact, he spends ten hours a day moving pixels around his computer paintings. His work is a blend of pointillism and 8-Bit art. Meet 97-year-old Hal Lasko, The Pixel Painter."

RVCA caraVan || Australia 2013

"In a fleet of brightly colored Jeeps filled with surfboards, skateboards, music equipment, art supplies and crates of Carlton Dry, the RVCA Caravan made its way from Byron Bay to Sydney. It was a two-week adventure that brought together a group of multifaceted RVCA advocates to inspire each other creatively and just go where the wind blows. The Caravan was loose, and the crew was an eclectic and eccentric group who don’t normally find themselves on the same program: surfers Alex Knost, Makua Rothman, Ford Archbold, Ellis Ericson and Dino Adrian; skaters Josh Harmony, Kevin “Spanky” Long, and Julian Davidson; artists Kelsey Brookes, Dmote, Benjamin Jean Jean and Mark Alsweiler; womens advocates Ashley Smith and Margaux Aaramon Tucoo. Everyone coming together from different backgrounds and various places in the world to share their passion for life, adventure, art and music.
