Academy Awards || Best Visual Effects Oscar Winners
Showing us just how much visual effects have improved over the last few
decades, filmmaker Nelson Carvajal has created a four-and-a-half minute
video showing snippets from films that won an Oscar for Best Visual
Effects. The award dates back to 1977 when the very first "visual
effects" Oscar was given to John Stears for his work on George Lucas's
Star Wars. Other winners include Jurassic Park, Life of Pi, Independence
Day, E.T. and Avatar. Check it out below.
