Dream Jump || Dubai 4K

Base jumpers are always looking for the latest skyscraper to go and chuck themselves off, so there's no surprises that Dubai's second tallest building - The Princess Tower - has attracted daredevils from all over the world when they opened up the roof to base jump off.

Over 558 people turned up to the DreamJump event, jumping off the 1,358 foot-tall building in all sorts of crazy formations and pulling multiple backflips on the way down. Check out the video below.

Coolhunting has released a new short film which documents the process behind the manufacture of surfboards at Union Surfboards - a small company based in Brooklyn, NYC.

"Surfboards should be catered to the individual," says brand co-founder Chris Williams. "It's great making custom surfboards because we can actually focus on the things that the customer really wants to do with it, and optimise the board and its design around those objectives […] In New York, you surf small waves, windy waves, you take whatever you can get." Red Bull Music Academy || Revolutions On Air: The Golden Era of New York Radio 1980-1988

Red Bull Music Academy has released this great new mini-documentary titled Revolutions On Air: The Golden Era of New York Radio. It focuses on a number highly influential and pioneering DJ’s from the ‘80s who made New York’s radio scene one of the most exciting in the world. Featuring mix show legends Tony Humphries, The Latin Rascals, Marely Marl and Kool DJ Red Alert - all innovators in their field, helping break emerging artists from hip hop, electro, house and freestyle music.

Watch the film below, hosted by MC Lyte it includes interviews with many of the DJ’s mentioned above, along with many of those they influenced. The film will be brought to life on May 27, with discussions from many of the artists involved taking place at the Red Bull Music Academy Festival NY.

If you have ever been curious to discover the process of how the Porsche 918 Spyder is made, this latest video carefully details the individual steps taken on Porsche’s hand-assembly line. Compiled as a series of ground level and aerial pans, what is immediately striking is the sheer level of workshop organization and clearly meticulous attitude of each and every employee, resembling somewhat of a mobile art installation rather than the dark workshop you might have expected to see. Each Porsche 918 Spyder is individually numbered with attention given to the most minute factors ensuring that it stands head and shoulders above the competition — as well as justifying its hefty price tag that can sit anywhere upwards of $845,000 USD. A short documentary has been released by social media agency Tailify which, as the title suggests, examines the rising power of social media influencers. Taking us to various cities across the world, the 10-minute film gathers the opinions of bloggers, trendsetters, and vloggers, examining how these people have become so important to brands and marketing companies.

"It's easier for a brand to push certain products to the consumer," says Karl Oscar Olson, the co-founder of Danish brand WOOD WOOD. "But also it puts demands on the brand to constantly put out new products. Every week or every two weeks. It's an evil circle I think."

Free Fall || Short Film

If you have a fear of deep water, we advice you not to watch the short film below, which follows French freediver Guillaume Néry as he swims down into a dark abyss on the ocean bed.

Néry made a name for himself when he broke the record for deepest freedive in 2002, swimming to a depth of 87 meters. Since then, he's pushed his personal best to 117 meters, although Herbert Nitsch now holds the world record with a dive of 253.2 meters. Watch the video below.

Honda has worked with London-based advertising agency mcgarrybowen to come up with a trippy new commercial that features a visual illusion and a never ending road. Aptly titled "Endless Road", the spot showcases the Honda diesel CR-V's efficiency and performance capabilities by illustrating how "the road to better never ends." A dreamy track by Bernard Hermann adds the finishing touch to the hypnotic visual.

George Ziermann handmakes custom boots out in Pendleton, Oregon, . It’s a profession that’s dying. Before he retires, Ziermann wants to pass on the skills he’s acquired over the years, but finding an apprentice with the right work ethic and passion has proven difficult.

Dick Moby || Sunglasses Handmade in Italy

Dutch sustainable eyewear brand Dick Moby has released a short video which demonstrates how its sunglasses are lovingly handcrafted in Italy. Directed by Boris Booij, the process video really shows us every step of production, starting with the acetate mixture that will comprise the rims of the sunglasses before moving on to the lenses and piecing together each part. The whole things ends with the Dutch narrator stating that he "can't wait to sit on your face"… Check it out below.
