Day By Day || The Iris Story
Jerry McNamara from Corda Film teamed up with George Rocha of Iris Skateboards to create this short documentary film called “Day By Day.”
The short is a behind-the-scenes look at the life, shop and functional process of Rocha, who is best known for turning used skateboard decks into new functional objects ranging from coffee tables and tap handles to brand new skateboards. Turning busted up, beat to shit and cracked skateboard decks into new things isn’t something only Rocha is doing, but he has a passion for the entire process—and skateboarding in general—that really shines through in the video.
You can check out more of McNamara’s work at Corda Film and some of Rocha’s creations at Iris Skateboards.
