Deep Into Europe's Most Notorious Favela!!
Today, we're going to visit Europe’s most notorious favela… and it’s right n Portugal’s capital—Lisbon.
The place is called Cova da Moura.
Back in the 70s, after Portugal’s dictatorship collapsed, thousands of people from former colonies like Cape Verde, Angola, and Guinea-Bissau came here looking for a better life.
Since the system gave them nothing .. they all moved to a place in the hills of lisbon where there was no strees no adreass no sewer system. So they built everything themselves brick by brick and to this day government has never recognized their community they've created.
The media calls it a ‘no-go zone’—for both tourists and even some locals. So today, we're going in to check it out. What’s real, what’s fake… and what’s life actually like inside Lisbon’s most feared neighborhood.
