Levi's || Skateboarding in La Paz
In April 2014 Levi’s Skateboarding
trekked down to La Paz, Bolivia, joining a global team of skateboarders
— including Marius Syvanen, David Gravette, Josh Matthews, Joey Pepper,
Chet Childress, Al Partanen and local skater Milton Arellano — to
build the Pura Pura skatepark three miles up in the sky. They greeted
additional teams of builders, journalists, filmmakers and
photographers, who set up camp a few hundred yards up from the build
site. There were sixteen-hour days of pouring concrete followed by
dinners cooked on camp stoves, ultimately resulting in a 2000 square
meter skatepark bringing together the local community and beyond. Check
out the full “Skateboarding in La Paz” documentary film below, directed
by Simon Weyhe and produced by Levi’s Skateboarding.
