To encourage sales, helmet brand S1 Helmets has released a video featuring some of the worst longboarding bails filmed in 2014. These skateboarders can reach incredible speeds of over 100 km/h when bombing hills, so it's unsurprising that things can escalate pretty quickly from the smallest mistake.

"Skateboarding is dangerous. Wear hard foam. Don't die," say S1 Helmets. Before adding a cheerful "Happy New Year!"
