Brazil's "gift to skateboarding"Tiago Lemos was filming a video part in
the same vicinity as legendary skate filmmaker Ty Evans one day when he
was cast in what was possibly the biggest skate film of all time: WE
WE ARE BLOOD, a multi-million dollar,
multi-continent-spanning skateboarding epic thrust Tiago onto a whole
new level as the film's undeniable breakout star. Shortly after, Tiago
left his home of Brazil to start a new life in California, the home of
Guerreiro || The Tiago Lemos Story, produced by Mtn Dew and Green Label films, shows the path Tiago had to travel, coming from a
town known more for its rodeo than anything else. Shot on location in
Jaguariúna, São Paulo, Los Angeles and Long Beach, the film contains
never-before-seen archival footage, and interviews with Tiago's family,
who explain how they initially forbade skateboarding. While Tiago’s
friends explain their reactions to seeing him skate for the first time,
Tiago just dreams of going pro, a dream that is realized--by
surprise--on his 25th birthday.

London, from his old record shop on Surrey Street Market to Frank's Cafe
on the roof of a Peckham carpark.
“I think the club culture in South London now is getting healthy,” says
Artwork. “You’ve got Phonox in Brixton, they’re bringing in world class
DJs now, then also you’ve got the Bussey Building over in Peckham.
You’ve got all those different place. Rye Wax are putting on tiny 100
person things. There’s new stuff that can grow. It’s happening, it’s
great […] There's so much on at the moment in South London, you're not
going to be able to see it all, but, just get amongst it.”
168H Berlin Starring the German Converse Cons Skate Team
has shared a four-minute clip showcasing its German Converse Cons skate
team hitting up some rough-and-ready spots in the Berlin. Filmed and
edited by Leon Rudolph, the video stars Danny Sommerfeld, Jonas Hess,
and Daniel Pannemann, all of whom give us an authentic feel for the
city's skate culture, hitting up everything from make-shift flat banks
to bridge handrails.
This past July 5 marked 15 years since Keenan Milton died. He was 26. Parts in videos including 1994's 20 Shot Sequence, 1995's Las Nueve Vidas de Paco, 1996's Mouse, and 1999's The Chocolate Tour cemented his legend, and his passing was mourned widely in skateboarding.

A few of you probably already know that IKEA and Danish interiors brand HAY
are working on a collaboration collection, in fact some of you are
probably already queuing outside the stores, but now it's been
officially announced with a strange, abstract teaser video.
The clip's creative director Nikolaj Fremming wanted the visuals to
showcase the materials which will eventually go into the "YPPERLIG"
collection, rather than show specific designs, hinting at the overall
"vibe" of the range.
The IKEA x HAY "YPPERLIG" collection will be available in 2017.
