"Call Me" || Alex Olson

Skateboarder Alex Olson, who recently worked with Dover Street Market for a limited edition range of t-shirts, has taken skateboarding back to its roots with a lo-fi 3-minute video called "Call Me". Shot entirely in NYC, the fun video shows Olson skating the parks, curbs, and bumps that the city has to offer. Peep it below. 

Battles || The Art of Repetition

Music software company Ableton has released a documentary on the consistently great New York trio Battles. It gives a behind-the-scenes look at the making of their recently announced third album La Di Da Di, following them from their NY rehearsal room to the Machines With Magnets studio in Pawtucket where the album was recorded. It features in-depth interviews with the band about their creative process as well as live footage and snippets of new music in the studio. Directed by Ralf Kleinermanns, watch it below. 

La Di Da Di is out September 18 with Warp. 

Night And The Soul || Short Film

Inspired by a poem by Christopher Pearse Cranch, directors Jonayd Cherifi and Marin Troude have created a two-minute short film called Night And The Soul which takes us on a midnight skate through Paris. The dreamy film follows skater Tristan Hélias as he hits up the Rue de Rennes shopping district of the French capital before heading over to Rue de Rivoli, near the Louvre. Watch below.
