It’s easy to forget Elijah Berle is only 24 years of age.

Having turned pro at just 19, Elijah’s spent the last 5 years consistently setting the bar higher for himself, resulting in a host of skate parts, King Of The Road appearances, Skater Of The Year nominations, signature colorways, filming missions across various continents and most recently; a pro shoe.

WASTED TALENT were fortunate enough to spend some downtime with the Santa Monica native in his hometown of Venice, California this spring to discuss; burn outs, surfing, living by the beach and the state of Venice culture today.

The Moon's Milk || Animated Short Film

Seven and a half years in the making, The Moon's Milk is an entirely handmade stop motion animated short about a time when the moon was close enough to be reached by ladder. 

Narrated by Tom Waits, the film chronicles the last expedition of Captain Millipede and his crew to harvest the milk seeping from the craters. 

The action take place between the gravities of two heavenly bodies, which further complicates the attraction between the characters. 

Longing, missed signals, and mishaps lead to the enchantment of the heavens with music.

THE GOOD TRIP || Nick Pourfard

Music and skateboarding have always gone hand in hand.

Nick Pourfard makes the ultimate connection by creating guitars out of recycled skateboards. 

Nick combined his passions as an industrial design student teaching himself woodworking, illustration, and 3D design, ultimately turning that project into a business, Prisma Guitars.

Monster Children spent a few days with Nick in his workshop in San Diego to document the process and learn more about his overall design philosophies.
