Inside Nyjah Huston's Laguna Beach Mansion and Private Skatepark || Open Door || Architectural Digest

Architectural Digest recently went for a poke around the Laguna Beach home of pro skateboarder Nyjah Huston.

Set into the hills, his stripped-back home has great views throughout with its endless floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as space for a large games room, gym, bar, and trophy room. Huston also explains he’s in the process of getting a permit to put in an outside pool to make the most of the stunning views.

After giving the tour, Huston takes the AD team over to his private 10,000 square-foot skatepark, which was custom made to include obstacles similar to those found in the competitions he frequently wins. While he does train regularly at the facility, Nyjah adds that street skating with friends is still the best part of skateboarding for him.

FULL MOON || Night Skiing Without Artificial Light

Night skiing without artificial light: Closing lift stations and the setting sun mark the end of the action for most skiers. 

Not for Max Kroneck and Jochen Mesle. 

While ski towns fall asleep they head into the mountains and see them awaking in a new light. 

The snow starts glistening again. 

It ́s just the sound of their skis turning in fresh snow that breaks the silence of the full moon night.

"Some of you might have been on a full moon ski tour before. It ́s a really special vibe which is hard to describe when you haven ́t experienced it by yourself. With this movie we wanted to capture that feeling of being out there skiing in a clear full moon night. There is not much that distracts you from the pure beauty of the mountains." - Jochen Mesle

Inside the World of Hip Hop's Top Photographer || HYPEBEAST Diaries || GUNNER STAHL

Atlanta-born Jonathan Simmons, widely known as Gunner Stahl, was working at a Dick’s Sporting Goods three years ago.

Now the 27-year-old photographer is a phenom in the industry, widely-recognized for his raw portraits of famous rappers including the late icons Nipsey Hussle, Mac Miller, and Juice Wrld.

Stahl recently compiled an intimate selection of captures for his new book titled Portraits: I have So Much to Tell You.

The book features archival images alongside recent, spur-of-the-moment snaps of Lil Yachty, The Weeknd, Playboi Carti, Gunna and more.

To celebrate the publication, the artist teamed up with Red Bull Music Festival Atlanta to launch a solo exhibition on November 1 featuring large-scale displays of the portraits in his new book.

For their latest episode of HYPEBEAST Diaries, HYPEBEAST caught up with Stahl in his Atlanta studio to discover the man behind the viewfinder, his obsession with anime (preferably Gundam Wing), and his thoughts on whether or not print medium is dead.
